TUITION FEES
EU-Nationals attending full-time Higher Certificate, Ordinary Degree or Honours Degree courses will not normally be required to pay any tuition fees. EU-Nationals, who are repeating a full year of study, must pay tuition fees. The rates of fees are determined by the Department of Education and Science each year. Students may also be liable for fees if they already hold full or part of a qualification for a course similar to the programme for which they are now studying.
Non-EU nationals attending full time undergraduate courses must pay fees. Fees for all undergraduate courses in the academic year 2022/23 are available from the International Office https://www.ittralee.ie/en/InformationFor/International/NonEUStudents/TuitionFees/
Further details on all tuition fees applicable are available on request from the Admissions Office:

REFUND OF FEES
To find out if you can apply for a refund of fees (full or partial), please refer to the Rights and Responsibility Section B 1.5
STUDENT CONTRIBUTION CHARGE
All students are liable for Student Contribution Charge of €3000 for academic year 2020/21 to cover non-tuition student services (e.g. examination entry fees, student support services, registration, etc.). If a student is awarded a student grant from Student Universal Support Ireland (SUSI), the Student Contribution Charge will be paid to the value of the award. If the award is less than €3000, the student is liable to pay the difference.
Students who qualify for SUSI should bring with them confirmation letter/current SUSI tracker stating that they qualify for SUSI. If a student pays the Student Contribution Charge and is subsequently awarded SUSI, the student will be refunded the appropriate amount.
Please note: If you intend deferring or withdrawing from a programme and are currently in receipt of a grant, you should notify SUSI immediately. Failure to do so may result in the loss of part of the grant if you should subsequently return to third level education.
STUDENT CAPITATION FEE
Student capitation fee of €95 comes into effect for all students from September 2020. Please note that the additional fee is not covered by SUSI and must be paid by the student before they start their programme. In return students will benefit from a number of facilities and activities in the Kerry Sports Academy including full gym membership, access to 5 free fitness classes per week, free evening bus service from South Campus to the KSA and return service to Stokers Lodge & Manor West and five free guest passes per student for the gym for friends/family. The payment of the €95 will also ensure priority access to facilities for students for MTU Kerry sports clubs & societies. See further details at www.kerrysportsacademy.ie
FEE PAYMENT OPTIONS
Full payment of fees can be made online on or before the date specified by the Institute. Where the fee cannot be paid in full within the specified period, a stage-payment of fees facility is available. Students wishing to avail of this option, must apply using the correct form (available online) and agree that they will pay their respective fees in four equal instalments. Dates of payment must be adhered to – to avoid loss of access to computer and other Institute facilities.

The headings used in the table will give you an idea of the type of expenditure that you will encounter as a student. When budgeting take into account the following:
INCOME
EXPENDITURE
Students experiencing financial hardship can seek a bursary from the Student Assistance Fund or a short-term loan from the MTU Kerry Campus Benevolent Fund. These funds are administered on a strictly confidential basis by the Chaplain and the Access Office. It is possible to obtain financial support to help you overcome problems that may be causing academic or personal difficulties. If you are experiencing difficulty sourcing or managing finance you should contact the Access Office or the Chaplain . You are further advised to think very carefully before taking up part-time work as a means of supplementing your funds, because this may affect your attendance or performance at lectures, study, continuous assessment and examinations.
