How do I get a Irish Residence Permit?
Notes:
More information on the IRP application process can be found on the Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service GNIB webpage.
Ireland has a modern financial system and banking is simple and convenient. ATM machines (cash dispensers) are widely available and international credit cards are widely accepted.
Irish banking costs vary but many banks offer special student rates or even 'free banking' so it is well worth checking with the banks before opening an account. A student officer should be available on location in every bank to advise on setting up accounts and other personal financial matters.
Students must complete formal registration before they are eligible to open an Irish bank account, and then students need to present the following documents at the bank in order to open an account:
Please Note: The college registration letter can only be supplied after the student has supplied their Tralee accommodation address to the IMCP/IPCP Office.
IMCP Information
The IMCP/IPCP office also acts as an information centre providing advice and guidance to IMCP/IPCP students. IMCP/IPCP Office can provide advice to students in relation to (but not limited to) the following:
